Female & Veteran Owned
Deana Fugate, DMD
Dr. Fugate was born and raised in southeastern Kentucky. She went to college and obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky in 2003. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Fugate served as a dental officer in the United States Navy. She spent four years providing dental care to sailors and Marines, including a 7-month deployment to Iraq in 2005 to support Marines during the Iraq war.
After completing her commitment to the Navy, Dr. Fugate has worked in several types of dental practices. She has been a practice owner and has also worked with diverse patient populations and different areas and types of practices across the country. After living in Northern Indiana for several years, she chose to move back into practice ownership where she can spend time with her patients. She didn’t want to be restricted by insurance companies, because her goal is to help promote preventive and proactive dentistry. After seeing patients of various backgrounds and ages, she is committed to helping patients keep their teeth throughout their entire lives.
Dr. Fugate has a patient-focused treatment style and believes every patient deserves the best possible care. In her practice, you can rest assured that you won’t be judged and will be given treatment options based on what will help you achieve your long-term treatment goals. Her intent is to help patients make decisions in the best interest of their overall health rather than allowing insurance to dictate suboptimal care.
When Dr. Fugate isn’t caring for patients, you will often find her at home spending time with her family. She enjoys the outdoors, watching football and basketball, and exercising.
